⚠️ Know the signs. Act fast. Save a life.

💙 Bloat happens when a dog’s stomach fills with gas, food, or fluid. In some cases the stomach can twist on itself, creating a condition called Gastric Dilatation and Volvulus (GDV).

When the stomach twists, blood flow can become blocked and the condition can quickly become life-threatening.

🚨 Signs of GDV

• Unproductive retching or gagging
• Swollen or enlarged abdomen
• Sudden severe belly pain
• Hunched posture
• Pale gums
• Collapse

🆘 A medical emergency

GDV can become critical within minutes after symptoms appear.

Your dog may need:

• Intravenous fluids
• Pain management
• Emergency treatment
• Surgery
