🥬 Top Dog-Safe Vegetable Swaps ✅

🟢 Green Beans
These are a fantastic low-calorie addition. They add a nice crunch if kept raw or extra moisture when cooked.

🥬 Spinach
This is high in vitamins A, B, C, and K, but should be used in moderation. It’s best to steam it slightly before mixing it into the batter.

🥒 Zucchini
Very easy to grate and mix in. It has a high water content, which helps keep the cake moist during the baking process.

🍠 Sweet Potato
A crowd favorite. Make sure it is cooked and mashed before adding it to the mix, as raw sweet potato can be hard for dogs to digest.

🟢 Peas
You can use fresh, frozen, or steamed peas. They add a little pop of sweetness and extra protein.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Vegetables to Avoid ❌

When experimenting with dog recipes, always ensure you STRICTLY AVOID these toxic ingredients:

🧅 ONIONS, LEEKS & CHIVES
These can cause red blood cell damage.

🧄 GARLIC
Highly toxic to dogs in large amounts.

🍄 MUSHROOMS (WILD)
While some store-bought mushrooms are technically safe, it’s generally best to avoid them to be safe.

🎉 Perfect for Celebrations!
Since this makes a fairly large cake, it’s perfect for a celebration with multiple furry guests!
